Dr. Haggerty graduated from Wilmington College in May of 2004 obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science Degree with a concentration in athletic training. While at Wilmington college he amassed over 1600 hours of hands on sports medicine training and injury prevention education.
Upon graduation in 2004, Dr. Haggerty accepted an internship with the Cincinnati Reds baseball franchise. While in Cincinnati, Dr Haggerty helped treat and rehabilitate athletic injuries on the highest level of athletes. This amazing opportunity has given him the knowledge and confidence necessary to treat and prevent many common injuries that plague today’s population.
Upon completion of this internship Dr. Haggerty sought four more years of education at Logan College of Chiropractic. With his interest in the prevention of injuries he found the next step would be how to help teach the body how to prevent injuries itself. By learning how to restore proper motion to the joints of the body Dr. Haggerty can help correct common movement disorders that can cause overuse syndromes and lead to the body wearing out and damaging its own joints, leading to chronic pain. By restoring proper biomechanics and balance to the joints of the body many pain syndromes and joint sprains and strains can easily be prevented.
Dr. Haggerty loves being part of the Hicksville community and enjoys helping out with many youth sports organizations.
